In Gaza City, Yasser Arafat and Islamic militants sought a truce as stone throwing crowds protested killings by PLO police. Israeli troops killed a 17 year old after about 300 Palestinians tore down an Israeli checkpoint in the Gaza Strip.

Lt. Witnesses described a front yard dispute at 504 W Alameda St that escalated to gunfire.
Roswell police announce Belts and Booze enforcement during Operation Buckle Down from Nov 29 to Dec 3. Two officer teams will target seatbelt use and DWI, with evening patrols complementing daytime belt checks and late night drunken driving sweeps. The program runs alongside federal funded multi city efforts in Albuquerque Clovis Farmington and Las Cruces.
