The planning and zoning commission will recommend approval of seven preschools to the city council at the December 8 meeting. nurseries include Working Mother's Day Nursery at 500 E. Bland St and others in church and residential locations. The city ordinance adopted Oct 25 1962 governs preschool nonconforming use and two months of debate precedes the decision with Mrs Nadine Sanders absent. Road toll figures show 480 deaths to date compared with last year.
Southwestern Public Service Co. honored Roy L Flood of Roswell and Wathen F. McCollum of Carlsbad as 40 year employees during ceremonies in Albuquerque with 45 New Mexico Division staff receiving service awards. Roy Tolk of Amarillo presided.
