Manhunt Ends With Arrest in Budville Slaving Case

In west central New Mexico a 24 hour manhunt ended with the arrest of a man at a Grants roadblock. A 23 year old woman and a 14 year old boy were also taken into custody. Bud Rice 51 and Blanche Brown 81 were killed in a $250 robbery at Budville Trading Co 20 miles east of Grants. Funeral services set for 2 30 p m Tuesday in Albuquerque.

Mansfield Says Congress May Postpone Adjournment

Town Still Faces Chlorine Threat

Newton Alabama faced a chlorine gas danger after a 49 car freight derailed and caught fire. About 3,000 residents fled Saturday with more than 100 returning to recover belongings and pets for a second night away from home. Authorities reported 100,000 gallons of chlorine remained in a damaged tanker and containment efforts continued.

Strikes Slow U S Economy Report

The Commerce Department reports strikes slowed the economy in October and were a leading factor in the smallest gain in personal income in six months.
