Ex- Corporation Commissioner Dies in Albuquerque

Eloy D. Trujillo former state corporation commissioner died Friday in an Albuquerque hospital at age 61. He worked for the State Land Office last year after varied posts including Motor Vehicle Department and state auditor. He led the Democratic state committee in 1939 and was Taos mayor candidate. He leaves a wife two sons four daughters four brothers a sister and 23 grandchildren. Burial is set at National Cemetery in Santa Fe.

Confessions Entered in Kidnapping Trial on Long Island

Two of three signed confessions attributed to Angelo LaMarca were read in Nassau County court in a case charging him with kidnapping and first degree murder in the abduction of Peter La Weinberger and the death of the infant. The defendant, 31, pleads innocent by reason of temporary insanity amid money troubles as a possible motive.

Recognition easy after third holdup

Evansville Indiana police arrested a St. Louis repairman just outside a savings bank after he used the same teller in two holdups last winter at the North Side Federal Savings and Loan Assn. He frightened the teller into surrendering nearly fourteen thousand dollars in the two robberies totaling two thousand eight hundred forty seven dollars in the latest incident.
