Open campfires banned in Lincoln National Forest areas
Lincoln National Forest will prohibit open campfires during the three week hunting season starting Saturday. Fire restrictions require use of gas or gasoline stoves at developed sites and officials will set up information check stations. About 40 000 deer hunters are expected with enhanced fire suppression teams and up to 125 personnel. the forest remains under extreme fire danger.
