Eisenhower Diagnosed With Genuine Heart Attack At Ft Gordon

Former President Dwight D. Eisenhower, 75, vacationing at Augusta National, suffered chest pains Monday. Doctors revised earlier illness to reveal a genuine heart attack with angina, though he slept well and remained in good spirits. His previous heart event occurred in Denver in 1955.

Two-Part Roswell Fight Ends With Injuries And Jailings

A Roswell brawl left Richard Servantez 21 flown to Albuquerque for surgery after a head injury from a car jack. Thomas James Steel 21 suffered a severed thumb while Vick Roberts 19 faced jail on open charges. Police tied a second hospital melee to an earlier confrontation as officers investigated damage and warrants.

Burns Not Serious For B. B. Armstrong

Roswell contractor B B Armstrong survived a Boeing 727 crash at Salt Lake City airport with only superficial burns and smoke inhalation. Ninety percent of the 50 survivors were hospitalized, and 40 people died in the fuselage fire. The flight originated in New York with stops in Cleveland Chicago and Denver en route to San Francisco.
