An architect’s drawing shows the J. Ross Thomas Memorial to be built on the New Mexico Military Institute campus west of Headquarters. Planned for completion by commencement day next June, the Tudor style post-exchange will house a lounge, post office, barber shop, and a two floor layout with a spacious lobby, parlors, writing rooms, and 13 bedrooms featuring an artistic interior and a large tiled fireplace.

Santa Fe man held on assault charge after highway crash

Russell Sanders of Santa Fe is held on charges of crashing into a truck driven by Leonides Rael of Cienega and assault with intent to kill after Rael was seriously injured in an Albuquerque highway accident Wednesday night. Rael suffers a broken collar bone three broken ribs and a punctured lung. condition serious. Sanders is at liberty under $100 bond.

Colorado Man May Be in Cabinet

Denver and surrounding area reports quote Joseph P. OConnell, Denver county Democratic chairman, that John T. Barnett of Denver is likely to be honored by the national administration under President-elect Franklin D. Roosevelt.
