Late Returns Show Andrews Ahead in New Mexico Race

Special to Record from Santa Fe indicates Andrews leads Money for delegate to Congress by over 5200 votes. Legislature likely to be 19 Republicans, four Democrats, one doubtful in the House. Council to be ten Republicans, one Catron Republican, one Democrat with C. J. Ballard of Roswell winning a seat. Eddy County favors Money and Ballard, while Ellis leads in Eddy for council. Final margins expected in Chaves Roosevelt and Lincoln counties.

Adams Elected as Governor Despite Republican Doubt

Colorado Republicans concede Adams's governor win as returns show a Democratic lead for Greenfell in public instruction. M K and T Flyer Wrecked in South Mound Kansas

The northbound Missouri Kansas and Texas passenger train No 110 known as The Flyer derailed at South Mound Kansas. Fireman John Farrell of Parsons Kansas was killed and ten people injured, two seriously. Injured passengers were in the smoker car amid wreckage of the tender engine baggage mail car and two coaches.

Salvation meetings to be held in Roswell by Brigadier Ludgate

Brigadier J C Ludgate of the Rocky Mountain Chief Division will visit Roswell on November 12 and 13 to lead Salvation Army meetings in the Main Street tent. He will deliver his lecture Echoes from the International Congress on Saturday night and the Sunday program includes indoor and outdoor services and the dedication of two children. Mrs Riley Dies After Pneumonia at Scoth Hill Residence

Last evening at 9 45 Mrs Riley died at her home on Scoth Hill after a brief illness. She came to the area as a health seeker and had been improving but succumbed to pneumonia due to a weakened constitution. Her husband works for Cudahy Packing Co and was away when death occurred. No funeral arrangements will be made until make a ride on the camel and fencer TOM CAMPBELL make at suit you need and have on thinking about.

Wells Strike Large Artesian Flow Near Artesia

Richey and DeFreest reported a strong artesian flow yesterday in their well on the Richey tract about six miles northeast of Artesia. The water rises five feet above a six inch casing, making it one of the valley’s largest wells and suitable to irrigate a section of land.
