Roswell veteran Hilt follows family war service through two wars
George S. Hilt 82 of 1203 Baylor Ave recalls four generations of service from his great grandfather in the War of 1812 to his own WWI Army duty in Germany France and England. He later joined the Navy in 1922 serving on the USS Alabama and enduring seasickness while aboard. He made five trips to Cuba and called Navy life an eye opening voyage around the world.
