Roswell Physician Injured in Dual Saturday Collisions
Seven people hospitalized after two Roswell crashes Saturday night. Dr. Leo Wollard suffered forehead lacerations in a northbound collision at Eighth and Washington with Charles H. Davidson. Davidson and passenger Shirley Whitlow were treated for injuries. A wedding couple and guests were hurt in a 7:48 p.m. crash at 18th and Missouri involving Fay Coleman, Linda Harrold, Pvt. Gary Coleman, and Jimmy Burrell. Coleman released after exam. Harrold treated for a severe arm laceration as the Coleman car wrecked a rock fence.

Roswell Youth Killed in One-Car Crash Near Cimarron
Earl L. Malone Jr. 18 of Roswell died when his car left U.S. 84, struck a tree, overturned into a river about 10:30 p.m. twenty miles west of Cimarron. He was returning from La Junta Colorado where he attended Otero Junior College. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at First Methodist Church with burial in South Park Cemetery. He was a Devereux High School graduate and is survived by his parents, two sisters, and numerous relatives.

A passing motorist alerted authorities about 8 30 a m Saturday. East had been missing since Tuesday after leaving Carlsbad for a trip to El Paso.
