Espinoza Retains New Mexico House Seat in Wide Victory
State Rep Nora Espinoza defeated Democrat Dick Mastin in District 59 to win a fifth term in the New Mexico House. As of 10 p.m. she led with 75.5 percent of about 8 000 votes while Mastin trailed with 24.5 percent and under 2 000 votes. Espinoza of Roswell said she was excited, humbled and honored by the re election. District 59 covers parts of Chaves and Lincoln counties including Roswell, with several areas omitted.
