Carter pledges aggressive goals after narrow victory in Plains

President elect Jimmy Carter spoke in Plains Ga on Thursday night to about 400 people pledging to pursue new national goals despite winning the White House by a slim margin. He cited final state tallies and national vote totals as he outlined plans for frequent press conferences after his January inauguration.

King signals possible 1978 draft for NM governor run
