Pole Hijacker Forces Vienna Landing On Polish Airliner

A 20 year old Polish man being deported from Denmark to Poland hijacked a LOT TU134 flying from Copenhagen to Warsaw using a dummy hand grenade and surrendered in Vienna. The plane with 29 passengers was diverted to Vienna Schwechat Airport before continuing to Warsaw. The incident marked a second Eastern bloc airliner hijack in a week.
