A number of canned goods recovered this morning led to the arrest of Bennie Bonner, an ex convict, in connection with an alleged theft. Mrs Hattie Harcrow identified locally stored beets among items found and learned they were from August theft. Deputies Peck McCue and Bean, with a warrant, searched Bonner’s West College block home this morning and seized canned goods and a bedspread reportedly stolen. Bonner was arrested this afternoon.
