Roswell man is state’s first Memorial Day weekend fatality
Roswell taxi driver Charlie W. Smith, 44, was struck by a car on U.S. 84 south of Santa Fe early Saturday and died at the scene from multiple head wounds. The driver Sally Ann Kiekhaefer, 28, and passenger James Kiekhafer, 22, both of Denver, were uninjured. Smith lived at 509 La Fonda in Roswell and worked for City Cab Co.

Secret Service helicopter crash kills agent near Grand Cay Bahamas

Construction begins within two weeks on a 73 unit town house style project named La Honda Vega in Roswell at Sunset and McGaffey. The two story semi luxury complex will cost about 1 320 000 with 124 parking spaces and all electric heating.
