Immense combine ties defendants in Territorial cases
The present district court session saw all guilty pleas and verdicts in Territorial cases except one receive sentences at 2 30. Lon Reynolds got one year in the penitentiary and 500 dollar fine for calf larceny from Cass Land and Cattle Co. Frank Hayes faced a two year term and costs for procuring licnat with fraudulent checks. J W Dodson received one year in the county jail for uttering forged desk and sentence suspended for good behavior. Jim Wilson was sentenced to one year in the penitentiary with costs for pocket picking an elderly man. Ry Edwards got one year and six months in the penitentiary for carrying and threatening with a deadly weapon and costs. Arch Parker drew six months in the county jail for bicycle larceny. AG Puntley pleaded guilty to assault and battery with a 100 dollar fine and costs. Jim West, found guilty of receiving stolen horses, stood for a new trial and was not sentenced. Civil cases then opened with SC Hicks vs Hicks occupying most of the court time. Drilling on Southwestern No 1 oil prospect by Southwestern Oil Co began at nine Saturday morning, a hard formation hindered progress eight feet down, with 500 dollars casing sent out. Immense combine: Pennsylvania road plans a huge combination with New England roads.
