Copernicus Reburied as Hero in Poland at Frombork Cathedral
Astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus, whose heliocentric theory angered the church, was reburied in a honored Frombork tomb on a day marked by mass and ceremony. The skull and bones were found in 2005 and identified by DNA, with a black granite tomb and solar system model now marking his resting place.
