Fire near Cuba High School scorches five acres
A fire east of Cuba near New Mexico 126 burned five acres of brush and a maintenance building before containment. Windy conditions up to 35 mph hampered efforts, but no injuries or evacuations were confirmed and the high school remained safe. Fire crews from the U S Forest Service, state Forestry Division and local volunteers aided containment.
