Retailers of cotton goods in Roswell and Chaves county are urged to attend a ten o'clock Wednesday meeting at the Chamber of Commerce. William A. Allan of the Surplus Marketing Administration will outline merchants' roles in registering to accept and redeem cotton stamps. The plan doubles purchasing power by adding an extra dollar value stamp for each dollar stamp bought, similar to the county food stamp program. Claude Simpson, secretary of the chamber, emphasizes all cotton goods merchants and store employees should attend to understand the new marketing plan.

Rio Grande floods threaten San Antonio bridge near Socorro
