McCord says Clemency Offered From White House Ties
Watergate figure James W. McCord Jr testified that John J. Caulfield urged silence and claimed clemency and presidential support from the highest White House levels. County property sells very well in large delinquent tax sale
Tony S Armijo of the state property appraisal department announced that Chaves County completed one of its largest delinquent tax deed property sales. A total of 231 parcels brought about 55000 dollars, with a high bid of 10500 dollars by Carl Wilson of Carrizozo and the lowest at 10 dollars. The county will net about 44000 dollars after state costs, to be distributed like taxes. properties will return to the tax rolls and improvements are expected.
