Backward movement for ten Harbin units as they retreat to avoid engagement, reassessing positions along the front. Command reports no major clashes expected while regrouping defenses.
Reports indicate Japanese forces are nearing Port Arthur and moving toward Mukden with expectations of action. Russian plans reportedly include a fallback to Mukden and Harbin as the war unfolds.
Reports detail landing threats near New Chwang and Kin Chow with skirmishes along the railroad. Japanese forces gain ground north of Kin Chow while bombardments and dock attacks at Port Dalny and Dalny areas are noted. U S squadron preparing to arrive and Russian casualties and evacuations reported.
On the face of returns Robert W. Springer a Democrat is conceded the Denver mayoral win as several precincts are incomplete. Republicans claim over ten thousand illegal ballots and vow to contest the election. Also notice to Roswell School Board bills require written orders from President Burrus.
