Boy Loses Digits In Farm Dynamite Blast

Lee Shaw twelve year old son of Mr and Mrs Glifford Shaw suffered the loss of part of his left hand including the thumb and two fingers when a dynamite cap exploded at the Torreon Livestock Co farm where his father is employed. The family previously lived at East Grand Plains and the boy is grandson of Mr and Mrs C E Long formerly of East Grand Plains now in Roswell.

Model Airplane Contest In Roswell Today

Spectators may watch Roswell's first gasoline model airplane flight contest at end of West 8th street starting at ten in the morning. Three Children Rescued From Burning House By Local Youths

Three small Mexican boys were saved from a blaze Friday night by color youths and neighbors. Officers said the children would likely have perished in the smoke if not for the quick rescue. The boys were alone in the house when the fire started.

Flying School To Use City Airport Temporarily

Colonel Alvan C. Kincaid commanding officer of Roswell Army Flying School has been granted permission to temporarily use the Municipal Airport for training by the City of Roswell. The base facilities can handle much of the training but not all, and the arrangement covers about a month.
