At San Pedro on May 15 a riot erupted when 500 striking longshoremen attacked a stockade housing 400 non-strikers near the West Basin in Wilmington. Mrs Dorothy Boyd Died After Yearlong Illness At 6 P.M.
Mrs Dorothy Anna Boyd wife of J Reese Boyd died at the family home 103 North Pennsylvania Avenue yesterday evening at six o clock after a year of ill health. She came to Roswell with her parents twenty six years ago from LaPorte Indiana. Before marriage she was Miss Dorothy Greening and in August 1914 wed J Reese Boyd. She was active in Presbyterian church and the Delphian Society. Survived by husband parents and siblings. Funeral tomorrow at 2 30 p m at Talmage Memorial Chapel Rev LeRoy Thompson in charge. Choir to provide music. Casket bearers named. Interment at South Park with Talmage Mortuary in charge.
