Alaska man plans year on uninhabited Latouche Island
Charles Baird a 40 year old Anchorage oil worker and filmmaker plans to live alone on Latouche Island in Prince William Sound for a year. He will build a 12 by 12 shed, hunt and fish, and stay incommunicado except for occasional satellite messages. He expects harsh weather and frequent bears, relying on a dog and limited supplies as he documents the experience for possible book and documentary.
