RISD Looks To Two Mill Levy For 2.06 Million Capital Upgrades
Roswell Independent School District voters will decide on a May 17 ballot measure approving a two mill property tax levy to raise about 2.06 million over three years for capital improvements across 21 RISD schools. Main use funds nine elementary school cafeterias plus furniture, remodeling and new construction. State matching could bring total annual funds to about 688 thousand dollars.

ENMU Roswell students plead guilty to trespass
Six of twelve ENMU Roswell students pleaded guilty to criminal trespass after an apparent party in an empty dormitory on campus. Six adults were remanded to Chaves County Jail. juveniles’ actions are pending. Dean Gillis said nonregular students were dismissed from a migrant studies program.
