Car stolen here found stripped near Roswell
A Model A Ford coupe owned by J. W. Clay of East Grand Plains was stolen from the Yucca theatre parking lot last night. Clay reported the theft at about 11 o clock. The car was found this morning by Carl Howard at the New Mexico Military Institute rifle range west of Roswell with three wheels removed. A wheel from Howard s Model A was stolen last night near Roswell. Police believe the two thefts were by the same party.

M. E. Pichke a 64 year old Hope rancher and druggist died after drinking poison last night in Artesia New Mexico. Officials said poor health prompted the act. His wife Mrs Pichke attempted to stop him and ran to neighbors for help. He had lived in Hope for 20 years. Funeral services set for today.
