North American Soaring Championships to be held in Hobbs
The 6th Annual North American Soaring Championships will be staged at the former Hobbs Air Base from July 7 to 13 with contest director Hal Lattimore heading the Texas Soaring Association. Pilots from New York and Florida have applied and thirty five or more are expected to compete.

Trustees Challenge Denial of Ruidoso Track License
The New Mexico Racing Commission faces a court ordered hearing today on a 1970 Ruidoso Downs racing license for trustees Floyd Haake Jack Armstrong and Thomas Perfeet.
