Grand jury at Pekin returns indictments against two Standard Oil officials over a scheme to seize a wagon to force a rival out of Pekin commerce. An alleged bomb scare on a U S Express wagon at Des Plaines and Van Buren is disputed by Special Agent Eddy who says blue powder caused the scare but caused no injuries.

The will of the late Thomas Gardner was filed in probate court naming John W. Poe as executor. After debts are paid the estate is to be divided equally among the deceased's four grandchildren, including Robert Gardner and Jen.
Topeka Kan May 6 The supreme court ruled that the Kansas Natural Gas Company may build pipelines along public highways provided they do not obstruct the roads This ruling deals a setback to the Kansas Gas Protective Association which seeks to keep gas resources within gas counties exclusively.
William Rudolph, condemned for the Union Bank robbery and Detective Schumacher murder, faces execution tomorrow as his partner George Collins was hanged there a year ago. The sentence will be carried out Monday morning in the county jail yard at Union.

He praised Roswell and Chaves County officers as humane and intelligent in a brief remark to a Record reporter. H C McChesney also left for Odessa Mo after eight months here for health and Military Institute, following telegram about ill relatives. General Manager A V Turner passed through Roswell in his special car en route to Amarillo.
