NMMI Announces 2012 May Commencement Schedule
The New Mexico Military Institute released its 2012 May commencement timetable. Ceremonial events unfold May 11 and 12 at Pearson Auditorium with ROTC commissioning, a diversity celebration, awards, and a keynote by Governor Susana Martinez. Families may gather in Pearson Auditorium for receptions and diplomas are available at the Registrar after ceremonies.

The Sweet Leilani's Hawaiian Dance Group, part of Roswell’s Lifelong Scholars Program, won the Southwest Regional Division Arts and Humanities Program of the Year for awarded community service to Roswell Parks and Recreation. Established in 2000 by Mary Hart, the group teaches Hawaiian dance year round with performances at UFO Festival and other events drawing audiences over 1,500 per event.
