Christians Unite in Prayer at National Day of Prayer Event
More than 100 Christians gathered on the Chaves County Courthouse lawn for a National Day of Prayer service sponsored by Strebeck Mazda. The May 2 gathering featured songs, sermons, and prayers led by local pastors, with city officials issuing a proclamation and urging renewed faith in schools and courts. Attendees urged youth, abstinence from drugs, and obedience to the Bible, while calling for societal moral renewal.

Party on the Pecos adds Bus tug and star treats
Five Nova BUS workers pulled a 27 000 pound BTS transit bus Thursday to kick off the Pecos Pull tug of war fundraiser at Party on the Pecos. The event at Cahoon Park runs 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. with music by Rick Trevino and multiple family activities to support local recreational outlets.
