NMMI Board OKs expansion and student waiver
The New Mexico Military Institute board approved change orders for two projects and authorized a Brazilian student to attend NMMI's junior college as a freshman despite age limits. Lt Col Starke described the candidate as exceptional with a 3.58 GPA and advanced aviation training. Board member concerns about policy exceptions were raised as the student’s family has a Brazilian military tradition.
