Roswell Soldier Honored in City Funeral Procession
The remains of Army private Antonio Stiggins were escorted in a citywide motorcade from the Roswell Air Center to Anderson-Bethany Funeral Home. Mayor Del Jurney and others attended as flags flew at half staff and the Roswell Veterans Honor Guard received the coffin. Stiggins, born in Roswell and a Mayfield High School graduate, enlisted in 2010 after early deferment in 2009. A memorial at the Roswell Convention and Civic Center is planned for May 5, with Adopt-A-Soldier asking for food donations via Nicole Vargas.
