Jury Deliberates in Roswell Kidnapping and Shooting Case
In Carlsbad a 19 year old man Davis faces two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and charges of aggravated battery extortion and kidnapping over a May incident at Bottomless Lakes State Park. Victims Tessier Jr. and family were abducted at gunpoint but survived. Two bystanders Taylor and Willis were wounded. Scott was found dead after a chase. The jury began deliberations at 1 p.m. with defense arguing Davis was manipulated by Scott and not a willing participant.
