Roswell P Z Commission considers five applicant names
The Roswell Planning and Zoning Commission reviewed four certified applications and one unreceived entry for three open seats on the seven member panel. Four candidates attended the meeting: Christopher Cortez Saul Aguilar William Bill Dennis and James MacCornack Jana Lessard is the fifth applicant. The mayor will receive recommendations at the April 12 City Council meeting.

Easter event cheers children at Loveless Park
MECA Therapies hosted a early Easter celebration in Loveless Park on North Atkinson Avenue for children with developmental delays and their families. Director Pat Froch said the agency holds holiday events for those served. Floyd Bell as the Easter Bunny greeted youngsters including Anderlyn Salsberry and Nicklette Garcia while Shaedyn Hedgecock and Jordyn Hedgecock played nearby.

St John Church dedicates renovated chapel with Franciscan help
At St John of the Baptist Catholic Church on South Lincoln Avenue a dedication ceremony marked the nearly eight month renovation of the chapel named for Our Lady of Angels. Volunteers from the congregation built it while Father Espinosa noted the space will host daily Mass baptisms and smaller weddings with about 200 attendees.
