Wreck near Vaughn Kills Midland Man
A Midland man J. W. Williams aged 53 was killed when a tire blew on U S 285 south of Vaughn causing a car to overturn. Williams died after being crushed under the vehicle. Fire consumes 300 acres in Gila National Forest
Fresh crews battled a forest blaze in the Gila National Forest estimated at over 300 acres. Fire Control Officer Jack Foster said the fire, likely man caused, struck a very dry area.
