Health care sign up periods extended under Obama plan
The Health and Human Services Department released two documents outlining special enrollment periods for broad groups of people seeking coverage on HealthCare.gov. Those who started but could not finish before March 31 may sign up by May 1, with up to 60 additional days for 10 general categories of special circumstances, including natural disasters and domestic abuse.
