Roswell Students Tour NYC and Washington DC trip
Fourteen students from Roswell high schools, chaperoned by Mrs. Charles T. Stone, spent 11 days traveling from Roswell to New York City and Washington DC. They visited landmarks such as the United Nations, Statue of Liberty, Capitol, Supreme Court, and Arlington Cemetery, with meetings including Sen. Anderson and Dr. Goddard’s widow. The journey included stops in Philadelphia and Annapolis and was funded by Youth Action Council activities and local donations.

Open House at ENMU Roswell Campus Slated
ENMU Roswell invites faculty students and families to an April 18 open house with a noon to 1 p.m. barbecue at the Adult Education Center. Activities include counselor sessions on financial aid and programs, bus tours, a candlelight buffet, and a dance. Dormitory space is available for out of town guests.

Goddard Chorus Wins Honor At Dallas Convention
The Goddard High School chorus, chosen from 150 choirs and then among 10 selected from 200, earned a place at the Southwestern Convention in Dallas Texas. Director John Walker and sponsor Karl Hesse accompany the group, which raised funds by selling light bulbs and performing concerts.

Grace Sanchez a Roswell High School cooperative office education student works part time as a secretary at the Adult Education Center. She attends afternoon classes building typing shorthand and transcription skills while completing graduation requirements in June 1970. The program aims to develop office communication job and attitude skills for a career as a fulltime secretary in the community.
