Mexican Cut Throat Killings Near Coo Chee

In Texas on March 26 a Mexican named Ramon overtook a buggy carrying two daughters of ranchman Alex M. Henry and a young boy eight miles south of Goucho near Coochee. Ramon climbed into the rear, slashed one woman’s throat causing instant death as the horse spooked.

Explosion Hits Grand Central Kitchen Fire Alarm

A gasoline coffee urn exploded in the Grand Central kitchen at 6 15 Sunday morning triggering a kitchen fire that spread through the room. John Otis the cook was severely burned but not fatally. Fire officers were not needed after a quick response. The town baseball team will play the Institute first team tomorrow at three in the afternoon on the Institute grounds. Everyone invited.
