Roswell Young Republicans to vote on new constitution Monday
The Chaves County Young Republicans meet at 7 30 p m Monday at Pioneer Savings and Trust to vote on a new constitution and elect new officers at the April meeting. Nominees should be submitted to Debbie Hill John Linski and John McLean before the meeting. Call Ed Cellars for notices of future meetings.

Roswell Democrat Thomas Edgett says he can win more votes than Republican L M Hall in theChaves County sheriff race. He spoke at a Democratic lunch at the Sally Port Inn as Hall resigned as Roswell police chief to run. C D Charlie Browning of Roswell announced a bid for Chaves County commissioner, citing road construction experience and county streamlining goals. Browning spent 14 years with the state highway department and 17 years in mining in West Virginia. The luncheon was the first in a series of weekly events with guest speakers.
