Roots & Shoots: Kids Changing the World
The Roots & Shoots program started in 1991 when Jane Goodall and 12 Tanzanian students formed a global movement. Today about 150,000 members in more than 120 countries work on projects from beach cleanups to animal welfare and reforestation.
