Three new memorial windows were dedicated at the Roswell Christian church with a sunrise service and a musical program led by Mrs. M Nelson A S Trubel and Miss Iva Nelson The event honored Mrs Mabel Day Lea Martha Stone Hancock and Capt Joseph C Lea and noted Elder C C Hills nearing retirement after four years of ministry The history of the church and the Lea family was highlighted with remarks by Mrs Phil Helmig and others

Rattlesnake Bite Affected Mexican Herdsman Near Roswell
A Mexican herder Sylvester Cervantes was bitten by a rattlesnake Friday morning near Roswell after reaching Ana hole to tend a stray lamb. He treated the wound by tying the arm and lacerating the finger, but poison spread. he later received medical care in town and showed improvement. Kansas City cattle market reports follow with various price ranges for southern and western cattle, hogs, and sheep, noting strong demand and specific price bands. Also advertised is The Eiler King of The Cattle Ring show with seats, cars, band, and orchestra for tonight’s performance at the tent.

Orchestra Hosts Cadets in Dancing Party at Institute
The Norvell Croft orchestra gave a dance to Military Institute cadets at the Institute gym Saturday night. Dancing began early to complete the program before midnight with a full attendance of regular and honorary dancing club members and some outside guests.
