Pistol Triggered Double Deaths in Unusual Case
In Corsicana Thelma Cleo Shaunfield 22 used a pistol to harm herself. An argument over the missing gun led to stepfather Guy Bennett Matlock 52 being shot and killed by her 13 year old son Charles Shaunfield who fired twice with a rifle to protect his mother. Thelma Cleo Shaunfield was found dead later in a rooming house. The death of Mr Matlock was ruled homicide and the youth faces Juvenile Court.
