The Beta Epsilon chapter meeting at Mary Wolgomott’s home opened in March with 16 members present. Co-hostess Helen Radcliff, president Carol Allen led the roll call, committee reports, and an program on The Art of Thinking by Judy Ann Coen. A quiz and brainteaser followed with Refreshments served. Judy Ann Coen won the door prize. Next meeting hosted by Alberta Santistevan.
Parkview School PTA hosts a Friday night carnival from 6 to 9 at Parkview. Public invited to enjoy hot chili hot dogs soft drinks coffee and homemade pie. Activities include cake walks dart games a flea market and a fish pond plus a spookroom and a door prize guessing beans in a bottle.

Roswell Reading Club met at 706 North Pennsylvania Ave with co hostesses. Mrs Herman Burkstaller Jr demonstrated china painting and displayed pitchers boxes jars dinner plates and china eggs. Members and guests enjoyed St Patrick Day songs by Mrs Paul Snead and daughter Susan. New member Mrs Bert Ballard welcomed. April meeting hosts named.
Miss Barbara Blackmar daughter of Mr and Mrs Richard Blackmar of 1907 Adams Drive Roswell has been named to the Dean's Honor roll for the first semester of the 1969 70 academic year at Temple Buell College in Denver A 3 5 GPA or higher is required. Temple Buell College a four year liberal arts institution in east Denver had 1064 students last year with 46 in the Foreign Study Program in Geneva Madrid and Vienna.
New officers were elected for the coming year: Kaye Willman as president, Linda Anderson as vice-president, Paula Schneider as secretary, and Margaret Barela as treasurer. They will be installed March 20 at the Roswell Inn during the J. C. Installation Banquet. James Meek, 1970 Miss Roswell Pageant chairman, was guest speaker as plans for this year’s pageant were outlined.
