Roswell School Board members plan to move back to districts

Roswell School Board members Bob Entrop and Rebecca Johnson say they will reestablish legal residences in their districts. Entrop aims to finalize a property equity agreement by May 1, while Johnson considers buying a house within her district and maintains most non-working hours there. Both moved out after divorces and now reside in District 2, raising questions of eligibility. Johnson argues residency is not solely linked to ownership or time.

Tarter to run for Roswell City Council next year

Resident Tom Tarter declared at a Tuesday press conference that he will seek the Roswell City Council seat next year amid a mayor city manager debate. He challenged Councilor Bob Maples who claimed Tarter was not an elected official, saying he would be once Maples leaves office. Maples and Doris Callaway clashed over the discussion as the panel returned to the mayor’s role. Tarter previously ran for Ward 1 in 1992 but withdrew before the election, though his name remained on the ballot and Maples won.
