The Ed Tinsley campaign features Congressman Joe Skeen in a 30 second TV ad shot in a pasture with horses. Phelps Anderson accuses Tinsley of carpetbagger residency Albany Albuquerque and controversy over Skeen’s appearance. Skeen aides say he does not take a position in primaries and that he agreed to appear only after being asked.

Roswell man arraigned on four charges after shooting
Javier Cepeda 28 of 909 E Onyx St remains jailed on a 50000 bond after being arraigned in Magistrate Court on aggravated battery aggravated assault shooting at or from a motor vehicle and tampering with evidence in connection with a Friday shooting at Mescalero Road and Washington Avenue. Nicholas Rodriguez 58 was shot four times and transported to Eastern New Mexico Medical Center then to Lubbock. Witnesses say Rodriguez and his son Ruben 19 exited a pickup and attacked Cepeda’s Camaro with baseball bats before Cepeda fired several shots.

Charges Dropped Against Roswell Man in Minor Sex Cases
Roswell man Joe Morales Carabajal 54 had 10 counts of criminal sexual penetration of a minor and 13 counts of criminal sexual contact dropped without prejudice by the District Attorney. DA Janice Schryer said the case is not over and he admits to at least four counts. Defense declined comment.
