Democrats unveil budget contrast plans in Senate and House
Senate Budget Committee chair Patty Murray releases a plan calling for about 1 trillion dollars in new tax revenue over a decade while increasing overall spending and adding 4 trillion more to the national debt versus a Republican plan in the House to cut 4.6 trillion over ten years with deep Medicaid and domestic program reductions. The two sides trade proposals as Obama seeks bipartisan talks amid ongoing budget fights and looming sequestration cuts.
