Texas Senate and House Plan Special Session Timing

Austin March 4 The Senate and House adopted a plan authorising the finance and appropriations committees to meet fifteen days before a governor called special session. They will draft general appropriations bills for introduction when the session opens. Adjournment timing shifts with clocks back at noon, with reconvening expected around noon after reorganization. The governor will decide if another special session is needed between mid April and June first.

Merchants Industrial Fair Thursday Events Plan

General Counsel of Veterans' Bureau Found Dead

Charles F. Cramer, former general counsel of the Veterans' Bureau, was found dead at his Washington home. Police believe he died by his own hand, a bullet wound in his head and a revolver present.
