Chief Warrant Officer Joseph Rose III and Donna Steele of Monongah W Va tied the knot at Valley Forge General Hospital Phoenixville Pa. The 26 year old pair postponed more than five years while Rose, captured after a 1968 helicopter crash in Quang Tri Province Vietnam, was imprisoned by the Viet Cong. Rose returned recently from Vietnam.

A New Mexico State Police report records three fatal accidents in two days. Maria Luisa Esparza, 20, of Donna Texas died when a pickup rolled after another vehicle failed to dim its lights near Roswell. Several Donna residents were injured, some critically, in the same crash.
