Rio Hondo Restoration Draft EA Seeks Input at Bitter Lake NWR
U S Fish and Wildlife Service releases a draft Environmental Assessment for rerouting lower Rio Hondo within Bitter Lake NWR near Roswell NM to expand habitat for six federally listed species and provide backwater for the Pecos bluntnose shiner. The 30 day comment period ends April 5 2014 with an open house March 19 at the Joseph R Sheen Visitor Center.
