Union UWUA Local Donates to Roswell Mayoral and Council Candidates
Local 51 of the Utility Workers Union of America donated from 500 to 1500 to one mayoral and four city council hopefuls in Roswell. Special counsel Mark Brooks said the picks reflect a process considering family and blue collar worker interests with 160 city employees participating in candidate interviews. Jurney and Natasha Mackey received a dual endorsement for mayor with Jurney at 1500. Mackey’s report shows no amount but the union confirms donations to endorsed candidates. Richard Garcia, Ward 3 hopeful, reported 500 from UWUA International and 50 from Local 51 after interview confirmation.
